I thought it would be great for you all to see what happens in the studio mid-process. Here you can see my primary workspace, covered in the latest batch of wool dreadlock falls. In the upper left corner is a pile of unfelted wool, already split up into dreadlock-sized bits.
Do you do all needle felting or do you add some wet felting into the process?
ReplyDeleteThe dreadlock hair pieces are all wet-felted. the hats are mostly needle-felted, but i wet-felt them at the end really briefly for a little bit of added strength.
